G. Tomas M. Hult is the Eli Broad Professor of Marketing and International Business, with specialty areas in marketing strategy, global strategy, and supply chain management. He is Director of the International Business Center (IBC). The center is home to MSU-CIBER (a National Resource Center funded by the U.S. Department of Education), CIBERweb, BIEweb, Academy of International Business, and the Global Business Club of Mid-Michigan. Hult serves as Executive Director of the Academy of International Business. He is Editor of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and serves on the review boards of Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Marketing, among others. Hult was elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business in 2010. A dual citizen of Sweden and the U.S., Hult has been in the U.S since 1987 and at Michigan State University since January 2001. He also holds Visiting Professorships at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and Leeds University in England.
Blaire Miller is currently the Chief Financial Officer for URV USA, LLC, a new Scandinavian U.S. subsidiary in the wind energy sector. She specializes in international CFO services offering integrated international solutions for new market entry, M&A, project finance, global treasury risk and reporting, and trade finance and logistics. She has served as an international partner at Baker Tilley Virchow Krause LLP, as Vice President at LaSalle Bank/ABN Amro Group, and Vice President at Comerica. Most recently, she was appointed Interim Senior Vice President for Economic Development, Detroit Regional Economic Development. She is a graduate of the Executive MBA/Advanced Management Program.
Cliff Owens is Senior Manager of Global Quality Assurance for the Commercial Vehicle Business Unit of American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM). His responsibilities include leading advanced quality planning and executive for AAM operations in new, emerging markets. Most recently he led global program management for his division which has operations in the United States, India, and expanded operations in Thailand, China, and Brazil. Previous to his experience with American Axle & Manufacturing, Owens worked for Delco Electronics in Michigan, Indiana, and China. Owens was Lead Manufacturing Engineer for Shanghai Delco Electronics and led efforts with a new Chinese joint venture partner. Owens is a certified Red X Master Problem Solver and received his MBA in the Broad School’s Executive MBA Program.
